Reception
In line with Northumberland County Council's admissions policy, as outlined on the Northumberland County website, Reception children are normally admitted to school in the September following their fourth birthday (i.e. rising five). Our standard admission number is 30.
Every parent must express a preference school including those who attend our Nursery and those who are resident within the catchment area. Applications can be made using the Northumberland online portal (link below).
Nursery
Children can start Nursery in the September after their third birthday, very occasionally we may have the capacity to admit children earlier based on age. An introductory stay and play session is held late in the summer term so that the parents and children can meet the staff, familiarise themselves with the classroom and ask any questions that you may have. A further induction meeting will then take place in September after your child has started.
To put your child's name down for our Nursery an application form needs to be completed. These can be downloaded below or a paper copy may be picked up from the school office. Completed forms must be emailed or handed in to the school and are filed in the order we receive them. You may apply for a place as soon as your child is born.
If your child attends our Nursery they will still need to apply for Reception using the Northumberland online portal usually in the November before starting in Reception as having a place within Nursery does not guarantee a Reception place.

Starting School at Other Times
If families wish to enrol their children in any year group at other times, then an 'in term admission' form needs to be completed on the county website to request a place. This form is available here online from Northumberland County Council and should be completed and returned to them so that places can be allocated. We are proud that there is significant demand for places here and most classes across school are full.
